Being a large city, Boston has thousands of hotels to choose from, including landmarks like the Copley Park Plaza, the ultra-chic NineZero, as well as Bed and Breakfasts, and of course, the chain hotels.

Trying to decide what locations will be optimal for the wedding
and then also good for sightseeing is, well, challenging.

We realize that many people have different tastes and expectations in a hotel.
We have tried to provide a cross-section of styles for you here.

This is by no means comprehensive.
If nothing here strikes your fancy, we recommend you try the online services, like:
Orbitz
Travelocity
Hotels.com
Hotwire

As an overview, our recommendations for locations are below.
If you get stuck, please drop us a line and we'll lend a hand to ensure you are with us on the day!

Don't forget to mention the Brandt/Reichert wedding.

Cambridge
Charming University feel, and proximity to us, Harvard, and Boston.
This is a quintessential Boston experience.

Most of my family is here. So, if that matters, please join them in one central place. Breakfast will not be lonely!

Royal Sonesta Hotel

1.617.806.4200

Booked through:
www.bostonreservations.com

$ 169 per double room.

This hotel is right next to the Charles River, down by MIT.
This has a nice view of Boston, and is a good quality business-style hotel. No surprises, good or bad here.

FYI: The stylish Hotel Marlowe is across the street,
above the Cambridgeside Galleria.

Cambridge Marriott

1.617.494.6600

$179

This is near MIT, in Kendall Square.
For public transport, this is pretty convenient.
It is halfway between Harvard and Downtown Boston.

Downtown Boston
If you want to do the Freedom Trail, see Quincy Market, or shop on Newbury Street
nothing beats leaving the front door of your hotel on foot and being right there in 10 minutes.

Colonnade Hotel

1.617. 424.7000

$179

This is a few steps from the Boston Symphony Hall, Prudential Center, and Newbury Street shops. I went to a wedding here last year, and this is a nice upper-middle rnage hotel.

Omni Parker House

1.617.2278600

Contact: Julie Fagan

$199

This is Boston landmark. Well located and of a high standard.
Their willingness to provide rooms at this rate beyond May 27th is up for grabs. Let us know if they are not playing nice,
and we'll give them a nudge for you!

Hotel 140

1.617.585.5600

$129 - opening special, and includes breakfast.

Brand new, just opening in June 2005 (now!),
Hotel 140 is in a great location near chi-chi Newbury Street.
If you want style without the price of say, Nine Zero (granted without some of the excess as well.)
the Hotel 140 is a unique boutique experience.

From what I understand, the rooms are more for Geisha-sized people,
as opposed to the Sumo wrestler within us all,
so you are paying for a top notch Boston location, not a sprawling space.
